Scooper Spirituality: Why Comedy In The Church Is Highly Improper

We live in a time where morals and values are being dumbed down consistently to suit people's moral decadence. If there's a place that shouldn't be influenced by all this, it should be the Church. The Church is more than just a physical representation of the Christian religion, it ought to be a sanctified ground that exudes holiness and purity. But just like the outside world, the church is dumbing down its values and allowing certain practices that are associated with the world to take place in the church. On the 7th of December, The House On The Rock Church put together the 13th edition of its annual Experience gospel concert. This gospel event was hosted by Banky W and Richard Mofe Damijo and had comedians like Akpororo to "entertain" the crowd. I...

He was later sent to live with his aunt and grandmother in Onitsha (his parental homeland), where he learned the Igbo language. A stay in Lagos also exposed him to the Yoruba language; by the time he was in college, he had been exposed to different Nigerian cultures and spoke three languages (an asset as president). Az...
