According to one viral report, which MTO News will not re-post because it has not been verified, people with an African bloodline in their family history, have special antibodies that help them fight off the coronavirus. WhatsApp has revealed that the messaging app will stop working on some smartphones in 2020. This is what you need to do. A pride of 14 lions is on the loose near a mining community bordering South Africa’s Kruger National Park, officials said Friday and warned members of the public to be alert. The lions have been spotted roaming around the Foskor phosphate mine outside the town of Phalaborwa on the western boundary of the famed wildlife park, which is fenced in. It is suspected the big cats escaped from the park, said the government of the northern Limpopo province, which has allocated rangers to monitor the pride while officials decide where to send them. “Employees at Foskor Mine and members of the public are hereby advised to be alert at all times,” the provincial department of environment and tourism said in an online statement. A couple, Chinonso Anyanwu and Oluebube Anyawu, have allegedly sold their three-day-old son for N300,000. A source told our correspondent that the couple had had three daughters before they got the male child. “We were surprised that a family with such history could behave this way by selling their only son,” the source stated. Our correspondent gathered that the couple who hails from Imo State sold the baby to one Sandra Odimege of Umuezike, Amorka, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mohammed Haruna, confirmed the story to our correspondent. He said the couple was apprehended following intelligence report. At least 90 people, including 65 children, are believed to have been infected with the HIV virus in Pakistan by an HIV-positive doctor, using a contaminated syringe, officials said Friday. “We have arrested a doctor after receiving complaints from the health authorities,” said Kamran Nawaz, the local police chief heading the case in the southern city of Larkana. “We are told that the doctor also has HIV,” he said. Authorities were first alerted last week after 18 children from a town on the outskirts of the city tested positive for the virus, which causes AIDS, prompting health officials to carry out wider screenings. Dozens more infections were found. “More than 90 people have tested HIV positive and the number of children is around 65,” Dr. Abdul Rehaman, a district health official in Larkana, told AFP. The Commander-General of Kano Hisbah, Nabahani Usman, has said from Monday when Ramadan begins, his men will begin to arrest adults who are seen eating in public. Usman said arrested persons would only be released if they can provide an exemption letter from a medical doctor or the person can show proof of chronic ulcer.
