Top world's poorest countries (see Nigeria's position)

Countries' economies are ranked based on their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capital and how it affects the economic stability of an average person staying in those nations. This is why the state of a country’s GDP can reflect if the country is wealthy or poor.
According to Focus Economies, most of the top 10 worst economies in the world are on the African continent with the Democratic Republic of Congo taking the lead with a poor GDP per capita of $439 despite the fact that the country has abundant natural resources.

6. Haiti
Haiti is on the sixth position with $776 GDP being a country that has been extremely vulnerable to extreme weather and natural disaster as World Bank says the 90% of the country’s population is at risk.
7. Ethiopia
Ethiopia ranks seventh with a 2016 GDP of $884. The country is has been really economically challenged because it is landlocked and its neighbor, Djibouti, acts as the main port. However, the country is ranked as the fast growing economy in Africa.
8. Tanzania
Tanzania has a 2017 GDP of $1037 with a projected $1502 GDP by 2023 with a projected $1502. Tanzania’s economy has been on a steady growth as the poverty rate has been falling according to World Bank.
9. Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is ninth with $1203. The Kyrgyz economy is at the mercy of external influence due to its over-reliance on gold export.
10. Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is 10th on the ranking with a projected GDP of $2351 by 2023 and $1514 2017 GDP as the country’s economy growth was fast between 2004 and 2016.
Nigeria ranks 20th among other economies of the world with $2318 projected GDP for 2019.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s statistics released in 2018 for 2017 revealed that Nigeria and South Africa are the largest economies in Africa with a combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which is around $750 billion.
It was gathered that there would have to be conscious practical efforts in improving the non-oil sectors if the continent can compete with top economies in the world.

Chelsea Or Arsenal Might Win The League - Riyad Mahrez

The Etihad club's forward refuses to write off the challenge of any of the teams in the Premier League's top four Riyad Mahrez says any of the top four teams can win the Premier League - despite Manchester City's domination of the title race. The champions and league leaders put further pressure on the chasing pack with their battling win at Watford on Tuesday night. A 2-1 success put them five points clear of second-placed Liverpool and 10 in front of Chelsea in third ahead of Wednesday night's action. Mahrez, scorer of City's second at Vicarage Road, will not write off his team's rivals, however. While Liverpool can close the gap to two points by winning at Burnley, when asked by CityTV about the gulf between the Etihad outfit and Chelsea, he said: "Of course, everyone in the top four can win the league." Pep Guardiola’s men held their nerve as Watford made a sustained late effort for an equaliser. And Mahrez, 27, believes it was the kind of...

Teacher from Abuja made $501,580 last year

Stephen Ime, a primary school teacher from Abuja, never dreamt of a luxurious life. Like your ordinary teacher he made enough for living, buying clothes, raising his children and sending them to school. He never even asked for more. About a year ago his car broke down, and Ime suddenly realized he simply didn’t have money to fix it. The realization hit him so hard he cried in a bathroom afraid of his wife or children seeing him, not sure how they would react. The situation made him change his mind - Ime decided he didn’t want to be poor for the rest of his life. He started looking for ways to become financially independent. At first he even tried selling online, but it didn’t work out well. So Ime joined an MLM, still the results were pathetic. Luckily, several months later Ime’s efforts were finally rewarded and he managed to find a way - no selling, no ads, just his phone with Internet access. Last month I came upon his blog and decided that an interview would be a great ide...
