What Aisha's Statement Tells About Buhari's Government - Atiku's Group Blows Hot

According to a report by Punch Metro, the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation has praised the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, for admitting that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government was being impeded by two men. The organisation said Aisha’s statement was evidence that Buhari’s government has been hijacked.  Recall that Mrs. Buhari had said on Tuesday that her husband could have achieved more but for two people in government who will never allow things to move fast. The President’s wife also expressed disappointment with some unnamed men who, rather than fight these two other men, would rather go to them at night begging for favours.  Speaking with our correspondent on Wednesday, however, a spokesman for the Atiku organisation, Mr. Segun Sowunmi, said, “It is a clear indictment. It means that he has lost the grip of the state; little wonder the ship of the state is just drifting on the ocean of time where the armed forces and the economy are not doing well and there is pov

Amosun; Oshiomhole; Okorocha The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, said the success of the ruling party in the forthcoming governorship elections in Imo and Ogun States is not tied to the governors of the state, Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha. The party chair who denounced Amosun and Okorocha for their anti-party activities said they are poor students of their own history adding that they both lost elections before winning on the platform of the APC. “Those who think our political future is tied to them; they are poor students of their own political history. Some of these people who talk as if they are invincible, they have forgotten that they have run elections in the past and lost until they abandoned their parties and joined us. Prophet Counters Father Mbaka, Insists Atiku Will Be President In 2019

A prophet with an Anglican church, Okechukwu Daniel Udoka has tipped Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi, to win the 2019 presidential election. Udoka, who spoke with pressmen in Awka, said Atiku’s government would heal the wounds of the country, and would be a lot better than many administrations before his. He contradicted Rev. Corruption: Court Reduces Plateau State ex-Governor's Jail Term

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has reduced the jail term of ex-Governor Joshua Dariye to 10 years. Dariye, a former Plateau State governor, was in June sentenced to 14 years in prison by the high court. However, the appeal court on Friday said while the conviction was right, the former governor should have been jailed for 10 years. The court reduced the sentence of 14 years to 10 years for criminal breach of trust while a similar conviction for diversion of N1. 62 billion ecological funds was reduced from two years to one year.  The sentences are to run concurrently, like the previous judgement in June, meaning Mr Dariye has now been effectively jailed 10 years. The appeal court ruled that the lower court should not sentence a first time offender to the maximum 14 years term contained in the charge against him. According to the court, the sentence was handed down in the season of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act which does not allow maximum sentence for first time offend
