Legendary Arsenal goalkeeper, David Seaman, sees his old side picking up a win at Old Trafford tonight, saying there has never been a better time to play Manchester United.
The Gunners will take on the Red Devils on tonight hoping to claim their first league victory at Old Trafford for 12 years, and on account of the Red Devils’ poor form, that looks a possibility.
Unai Emery’s side go into the clash as overwhelming favourites, as they travel north on the back of a thrilling derby victory over Tottenham which extended their unbeaten run to 19 games.
With the pressure building on United boss Jose Mourinho, however, some have warned the Gunners they face a wounded animal and, with expectations low, it would be very unlikely for the Portuguese boss to claim a shock result.
Seaman, though, is confident of Arsenal’s chances. The clubs go into the game eight points apart in the table, with the Gunners fourth and United sitting in eighth place.
“As an ex-Arsenal player, this is a great time to go up there and play Manchester United,” the former goalkeeper told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“They’re not playing brilliantly and they’re not playing with confidence – there’s a big chance of beating them at Old Trafford
“Normally it’s proper hard, but tonight they’ve got a great chance.
“And if Arsenal win, they’ll be even more questions asked of Jose.”
