Frenkie de Jong: 'There are no agreements with Barca about my playing time'

De Jong denies the reports that there are any written agreements over the amount of the playing time he will be getting at Barca.'I have to do my best and we will see.'At the moment his mind is on the Nations League and upcoming vacations.

Frenkie de Jong is already in Barcelonaas he prepares to join the club this summer after this January €75million switch from Ajax. And the midfielder has laughed off the rumours that he was guaranteed the playing time in Barcelona.

"Of course there are no agreements in my contract with Barcelona about playing time. There are no things like that," Frenkie said in the interview with Voetbal Inside.

"I have to do my best and we will see. I look forward to it, but first Nations League and then vacation."

The 22-year-old has also confirmed that he already has found himself a house in Barcelona:

The Dutch midfielder comes from a marvellous season with Ajax that saw him winning the Eredivisie Player of the Year award as well as receiving the Johan Cruyff Trophy which is presented to the best player under the age of 21 years in Eredivisie. Apart from individual awards, de Jong has also scooped the Eredivisie title and the local cup in his final season with Ajax. The Dutch greats have become champions for the first time in five years. Moreover, only a last-minute goal from Tottenham denied Ajax a fantastic opportunity to play in the Champions League final.
