Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe | Nigeria's First President And African Nationalist

Nnamdi - My Father Is Alive  Take a look at the 500 naira note, the man on there is  Dr.  Nnamdi Azikiwe . Please bear in mind that the naira note is a tapestry of pictures that represent the things and people we are most proud of as Nigerians and we are definitely proud of Nnamdi Azikiwe. 'Zik' as he was fondly called(16 November 1904 – 11 May 1996) was a Nigerian statesman who was Governor General of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963 and the first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966 (when Nigeria became a republic). Born to Igbo parents in present day Niger State, as a young boy he learned to speak Hausa. He was later sent to live with his aunt and grandmother in Onitsha (his parental homeland), where he learned the Igbo language. A stay in Lagos also exposed him to the Yoruba language; by the time he was in college, he had been exposed to different Nigerian cultures and spoke three languages (an asset as president). Az...

BREAKING: President Buhari Gets Conditions for Igbo's Support in 2019 Re-Election Bid

President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro (white) The Ohanaeze Youth Council, a pro-Igbo group, have proferred President Buhari with conditions for their support of his 2019 re-electiopn bid. The National President of the group, Mazi Isiguzoro, in a Tuesday interview in Umuahia, Abia State, insisted that the President  must look into the problems facing the entire south-east region, particularly the clamour for the creation of more states in the zone. Isiguzoro said the President has to begin the creation of additional states in the Southeast zone before December. He explained that the zoning of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Vice Presidential slot to the south-east ahead of 2019 election, was never the panacea to the infrastructural decays that have ravaged the zone. His words,”If he wants Ndigbo to adopt him, he should create additional states in Southeast zone, whether the state is from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi states or anywhere. “So...

JAMB 2021 Mock Exam Experience - Share Here

The JAMB 2021 Mock exam is done and dusted. From the feedback we got on the  JAMB 2021 Mock Exam Live Updates  not much changed from what it was last year. If you have been practicing JAMB Past questions with the  Myschool JAMB CBT Software  or the  Myschool CBT Mobile App , you won't find the main exam difficult as the lay out is quite similar. Many candidates confessed they came across a good number of past questions on the   Myschool JAMB CBT Software  or the  Myschool CBT Mobile App.  In as much as that was the case, we would still like to get first-hand experience on how the mock exam actually went in the various centres from candidates that participated in the exam. - What was the verification process like?  - Were you required to power on the system? Or was it already powered on when you got there?  - How many questions were asked in each of the subjects?  - Did the...

Should We Condemn Sports Betting As Much As We Condemn Runs Girls?

Fashion Designer, Uche Nnaji has written on how worrisome it is now that most Nigerian youths are engaging in sports betting and everyone seems to take it as the norm. In a post shared on his Facebook page this evening, Nnaji said that as much as religious bodies preach against girls doing runs, they should also speak up against sports betting, which is what most young men have resorted to instead of seeking employment.   Uche Nnaji Read what he wrote below: A new epidemic is gradually rising and ravaging the youthfulness of our ideal youths , it is not CODEIN, TRAMADOL, MONKEY TAIL or any of those drugs that’s some Nigerian pop stars exalt in their music. This new epidemic stealthily ravaging our youths is something that growing up as a lad in Assemblies of God Church in Olodi-Apapa, Pastors preached against gambling and POOL playing.  This was actually frowned upon as it was seen as promoting LAZINESS and GREED . But today the same POOL that was a past time ...

Loftus-Cheek Voted By Chelsea Fans To Start For Chelsea Against Man City

Chelsea will attempt to bounce back from Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers when they host Manchester City on Saturday afternoon. The Blues are currently fourth in the Premier League table, a huge 10 points off City despite only suffering two league defeats this term. It will certainly be interesting to see Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI, with a number of players just struggling for form at the moment. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has scored in his last two Premier League appearances for Chelsea, including against Wolves last time out. And the Chelsea fans were asked in a recent poll whether they wanted the England international to start against City, who need to keep winning due to the form of Liverpool. A huge 89% said that they wanted the 22-year-old – valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt – to be included in the starting XI, and it remains to be seen whether Sarri takes their advice for the key match.

Samuel Eto'o Says, "I Made Barcelona A Winning Team & Not Lionel Messi"

Former Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o has claimed he was the reason behind the team’s successes under ex-manager Pep Guardiola, not fellow forward, Lionel Messi as speculated. Messi, who is currently in Manchester ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final against the Red Devils, is believed to be the star behind the Barca’s success streak at the Champions League about a decade ago. Both Eto’o and Messi partnered in two Champions League finals, a 2-0 win in Rome 10 years ago and the 2011 win at Wembley. These titles add to two more European honours and nine La Liga titles. Messi was joined at Barcelona for five seasons by Eto’o, who scored 130 goals in nearly 200 appearances. The Cameroonian striker now plays in the Middle East, with more than 350 goals in his career. Speaking to beIN SPORTS, Eto’o said: “I’ve said to Guardiola ‘you’ll apologise to me because it’ll be me that will make Barcelona win...

Traffic Case Study – How To Get 200,000 Subscribers In Just 10 Days

The simple mistake which differentiates an average blogger from a successful blogger is not concentrating enough on email marketing which is the king of all marketing techniques. They are great for  driving organic traffic to your blog  which holds much more importance than social media traffic. If you run an online business, there is no better way to share your products and services with your readers than over an email. Now that we have established the importance and revenue slice email marketing holds in the current internet marketing scenario, the next question is how we build that email list which will lead to more traffic and more conversions.  It is very difficult to make people subscribe to your blog if you are offering what every other blog is offering . Everybody thinks that their blog is unique and people will throng to read it but it takes a few months to realize that while content is the king, it needs to be circulated to people and not vice-versa.
